It was a stunning fall day at the Trabbic Family Farm! Bright and sunny, yet with a chill cold breeze in the air that makes you know you’re heading into the winter months.

It was delightful to be there, and to share in the last big weekend before Halloween and to see all the children out picking out their jack-o-lantern material! The farm has all sorts of fun activities for children, such as a corn maze, hay rides, farm critters, pumpkins, straw maze and now… bluegrass music!

It was definately a little brisk, and made for slightly stiff fingers for picking and of course, our accoustic instruments were acting up in a variety of tuning issues, but all in all, it was a great time and we loved entertaining the public to what bluegrass music is all about!

Maggie picking out a pumpkin

My daughters, Maggie and Jessy, came along and we had to bring home two huge pumpkins! Maggie picked out a good one, big and ready to be carved! Jessy took all the pictures we have on our website, that was great. Of course, we had a good flock of Birdwells come in! (g) Thanks to all the people that came and listened during their visit to the Trabbic Family Farm.

It was fun having kids join us and sing along with some good favorite songs done Bluegrass Style! We really enjoyed ourselves… and you should do yourself a favor and bring your family to this great fall fun place!

It’s on Sterns Road, just over the border from Toledo, Ohio, located in Erie, Michigan. 1560 E. Sterns Road. They don’t have a website, but you can Google them for other folks kind words! What a great place!
